Environmental Guidelines

MEMBRAPOR AG acts ecologically and sustainably.

Our primary goal in terms of environmental protection is the preservation of human health and living environment.

• We monitor our processes in terms of environmental impact as well as the company’s environmental policy.
• We involve environmental aspects in the planning of new processes as well as product design.
• We are continuously improving our production methods towards more environmentally friendly processes, while monitoring possible negative impacts on the environment.
• We do not use substances which are listed in the EC Directive 2011/65/EC.
• Our products are ROHS compliant.
• We declare the material composition of our products and fulfill the information obligation according to the REACH regulation EC 1907/2006.

We use ecological resources sparingly

• We minimize our energy requirements by implementing technical and organizational measures.
• All our employees are trained and encouraged to use resources sparingly.
• Circular economy is very important to us and our processes are designed to check the disposal options of production materials as well as consumables before making strategic purchases.
• We encourage our suppliers and customers to work with us in an environmentally friendly manner. 
• We recycle the substances that are generated in the production process and are always looking for better recyclable substances.
• We take back and recycle our products free of charge after use.

Conflict Minerals and Human Rights Due Diligence

In the spirit of responsible corporate conduct and in accordance with applicable legal requirements and international standards, we hereby declare:

Membrapor AG is committed to compliance with due diligence obligations throughout the supply chain regarding so-called conflict minerals as well as other raw materials whose extraction or trade may be associated with human rights violations, exploitation, or the financing of armed groups.

We hereby confirm that:

1. We do not directly or indirectly support armed groups through the sourcing of conflictaffected raw materials.
2. We source materials exclusively from suppliers who can demonstrate commitment to at least one of the following standards:
   • OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas
   • Requirements of EU Regulation 2017/821
   • Standards of the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI), particularly the Responsible Minerals Assurance Process (RMAP)
   • Where applicable: LBMA Responsible Gold Guidance, Fairmined/Fairtrade certification, IRMA etc.
3. We have implemented appropriate measures for supplier selection, risk assessment, and documentation to minimize human rights and environmental risks in our supply chain.

We regularly review our supplier relationships and expect full cooperation from our business partners in implementing these principles.

This declaration is part of our internal Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts and forms
part of our compliance with applicable regulatory frameworks (e.g. EU Regulation).
